Internship Opportunity
We are looking for a Digital Media & Marketing Intern to join Go Beyond Greatness, Inc. This position has the responsibility of building and engaging our community on a daily basis with the ultimate goal of turning viewers into GBG members. The ideal applicant will have a passion for motivating today’s youth to succeed in life. The intern must possess strong knowledge of the digital media landscape, including Tik Tok, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, and Snapchat.The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to media projects such as program flyers, posters, newsletters, blogs and social networks, engaging in research, online forums, online outreach, and analyzing social media performance metrics. We seek a college student who is available to be at our headquarters in Kingston, NY. A minimum of one day a week during the semester; primary responsibilities will be done remotely.
Internship Responsibilities
● Create social media content which engages viewers and represents the mission, goals and highlights of Go Beyond Greatness
● Strategize and work to increase followers and interactions with GBG social media accounts and explore creative ways to increase the organization’s visibility to community
● Assist with digital media communications newsletters, email communication and other platforms to share updates and events
● Create program flyers that attract student engagement while sharing pertinent information
● Recruit new GBG students and partners through social media marketing
● Work from our headquarters in Kingston, NY and work sites which include local school districts and community-based organizations, minimum of one-two days a week during the semester; primary responsibilities will be done remotely
Qualifications
● Interns must be enrolled in college or have recently graduated
● In-depth working knowledge of Tik Tok, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and Linkedin
● Creative in finding ways to connect with community members via social media and digital marketing
● Interest in nonprofits, education, human service, and youth development
● Strong communication skills in writing, telephone, and in person
● Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Docs.
● Highly organized with an ability to think strategically and prioritize assignments
● All interns must have reliable transportation and must bring their own laptop
● Experience in design using Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, Pages, and/or InDesign a plus

We are looking for a Youth Leadership Intern to join Go Beyond Greatness, Inc. If you are pursuing a career in youth development, then our team fits your needs. The ideal applicant will have a passion for empowering youth to succeed in life and seek to make a positive impact on their future. Under the supervision of the Program Manager, you will assist in the areas of workshop design and facilitation for middle to high school students and other GBG members. You will also act as a mentor, assisting youth ages 11-18 in developing and pursuing their goals as they transition into the next stage in life. The Youth Leadership Intern should possess strong skills in supporting students to succeed in school and home life, and help students understand ways to access resources in their community. We seek a college undergraduate or grad student who is available to be at our headquarters in Kingston, NY a minimum of one-two days a week during the
semester; primary responsibilities will be done remotely. This intern will also need to make regular on-site visits to schools and youth-based organizations, attend field trips, and other GBG related events in-person.
Internship Responsibilities
● Assist in the areas of workshop design and facilitation for middle to high school students and other GBG members
● Serve as a mentor to youth ages 11-18 in developing and pursuing their goals as they transition into the next stage in life
● Help students understand ways to access resources in their community
● Assist with planning and facilitation of GBG school visits, trips, events and in-person activities
● Work from our headquarters in Kingston, NY and work sites which include local school districts and community-based organizations, minimum of one-two days a week during the semester; primary responsibilities will be done remotely
● Provide program support for the organization including student outreach, mailings, printing, and copying
● Organize and maintain candidate files (electronic and paper).
Qualifications
● Currently enrolled in college or have recently graduated
● Must have the ability and desire to relate to youth and young adults; be a positive role model
● Possess a warm and friendly personality; ability to relate with sensitivity
● Willingness to learn appropriate youth development practices; facilitate high quality workshops, and trainings within diverse populations.
● Interest in nonprofits, education, human service, and youth development (experience preferred)
● Highly organized with an ability to think strategically and prioritize assignments
● Strong communication skills in writing, telephone, and in person
● Social media savvy with familiarity with Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, YouTube and more
● Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Docs
● Must have reliable transportation and must use their own laptop and phone
● Special clearance may be required to work within certain schools and agencies
